Every service begins with a thorough, collaborative consultation to ensure the results align with your vision — grounded in realistic expectations and customized to you. We want you to feel truly seen and heard throughout the entire process.

Founded by Tiffany Dasilva, who brings over 15 years of industry experience, Sunny Day was created to offer clients an elevated yet relaxed space where luxury hair services are delivered without the stuffy salon vibe. After three successful years running Golden Hour Collective, a private studio space in Parkdale, Tiffany used her experience and client feedback to craft a vibrant environment centered around heart-led hair design — alongside other independent stylists who share similar values.

Led by Tiffany’s expertise in healthy, shiny blondes, perfectly blended balayages, and volume-enhancing extensions, the Sunny Day team specializes in lived-in, customized color and cuts that embrace natural texture and complement each client’s lifestyle.

When booking please select the name of your stylist FIRST before selecting your service, as each stylist has a customized service menu and this ensures you are booking with the correct person. If you are a new colour or extension client you MUST fill out your stylists intake forms (linked under their bio); appointment requests will be denied until an intake form is completed. Please ensure you've read the salon policies so you are aware of them prior to booking. We are not obligated to accept every booking if they do not align with our work, or if someone is unkind to any staff or guests.'

Salon Policies

Please ensure you have read these PRIOR to booking an appointment!

  • All new COLOUR or EXTENSION clients are required to fill out a new client intake form for their respective stylist. This helps ensure the stylist is briefed on your hair history, care routine, goals, budget and any other important information to ensure your service is booked properly. Haircuts do not require a consultation however if you'd like to discuss beforehand you're welcome to reach out via our contact form to chat.

  • Appointments can be canceled or rescheduled up to 48 hours prior to your appointment time.

    If canceled less than 48 hours prior, an automatic 50% service charge will be charged to your CC on file. If canceled same day you will be charged 100% of your service fee.

    There are no exceptions to this policy. If you do not show up on the day of your appointment or you are more than 10 - 15 minutes late for your appointment (depending on the service) this will automatically be considered a no show and 100% of the service will be charged to your CC on file and we may choose not to rebook you for future appointments.

  • We love your children, but due to safety concerns and limited space, we kindly ask you not to bring your children or any additional guests to your appointment. If you are without childcare during the time of your appointment, we ask that you please reschedule before 48 hours. This policy ensures that you and the rest of our guests have a relaxing experience at our salon and is made with your child's safety in mind.

  • Pricing can be found on our Vagaro booking menu. Each stylist has their own pricing, which reflects their unique booking options, expertise, and education. Final costs may vary based on service complexity and product usage.

    To ensure the most accurate quote, we encourage you to reach out directly or complete our new client form — even if you're a returning guest. Please note that quotes may be adjusted during your appointment, but our team is always transparent and will discuss options with you if there are any concerns about pricing.

  • It may be something you wear, but hair isn’t a shirt or a pair of shoes. Time and product cannot be returned so refunds are not offered on any hair services. All services are guaranteed for 1 week after date of initial service so long as you are following the after care guidance of your stylist. This guarantee covers technical errors (ex. A foil slipping, a toner not fully covering, a grey patch missed.) Let’s be honest here, these hands are magic but they’re also human and mistakes happen. I’ll happily have you back at no additional cost to fix these boo boos if they do occur. But if you change your mind, decide you want more or less or something totally different that will be subject to a charge. 

    Products can be exchanged for something else if they are more than ¾ full. We get it, sometimes we try something and we don’t LOVE it, so I don’t mind switching it up and offering you something else to take home with you so long as the product has only been used once or twice.

  • This space is INCLUSIVE & SAFE and all guests and artists alike deserve to feel safe and included when at Sunny Day. If anyone is making someone feel unsafe or uncomfortable you will be asked to leave and not allowed to return. This is a space of love and acceptance and either you’re here for it or you’re out.

Asked Questions

  • There is a Green P is across the street from us, as well as 3-hour parking on Queen Street. Please be advised that parking is not allowed on the north side (our side) of Queen between 4 and 6pm or risk towing. We are just outside of the O'Hara streetcar stop.

  • We ask if you’re coming in for a colour service to, please have your hair washed with little to no product 24 to 48 hours prior to the appointment.

    Not only can build up make it difficult for the colour to penetrate to where it needs to go, but it’s also a little gross having your stylist handle dirty hair for an hour. If you’re coming for a full haircut then don’t worry we will wash your hair prior to starting!

  • We take all forms of payment, cash, debit and the major CC companies. Also, if you for some reason forget your wallet (it definitely happens) we can accept e-transfer as well!

  • If you're more than 10 minutes early we recommend grabbing a treat from our neighbours Larry's or browsing one of our local thrift shops like Tara Thrift or Common Sort.

  • We are absolutely a dog friendly space, we just ask you give us a heads up if you’re bringing your furry friend with you. We also ask you only bring your pup if they’re not disruptive to the other artists and guests in the space.

Extension Care

Home care tips for those new to extensions or just looking for a refresher

  • Washing

    Do not wash your hair or the extensions for 48 hours after installation. Please use the products recommended by your stylist as we cannot guarantee the health of the extensions otherwise. When washing tilt the head to each side and gently scrub between the bonded area to ensure no build up is clogging the hair follicle. Please avoid conditioner at the root as it can cause tape extensions to lose their adhesion and slip in the hair.

    Brushing

    Gently hold the hair like a pony tail at the base of the neck, brush gently from the bottom up as to not tug on the extensions. We recommend using a Tangle Teezer hair brush for this. Once the ends have been detangled you may brush over the bonds. This helps discourage any matting from happening above the bonds. Brushing before the shower and before bed will help your extensions be more manageable.

    Sleeping

    Hair is to be worn either in a low pony or loose braid tied with a scrunchy or soft elastic only, to prevent matting. Please ensure hair, especially the root, is completely dry before going to sleep as well as this can cause matting.

    Maintenance

    For best results and to avoid damage to your hair please have your extensions adjusted every 6 to 10 weeks.

  • Washing

  • Do:

    • Use heat protectant when styling.

    • Treat it as your real hair for maximum longevity.

    • Brush from ends up gently with the brush recommended by your stylist.

    • Listen to your stylist!!

    • Use sunscreens without avobenzone or they will turn your extensions orange!

    Don’t:

    • Never put oils or conditioners close to the root, as this will cause the bonds to slip out of the hair and the bonds to break down.

    • Never use shampoo or conditioner that hasn’t been recommended by your stylist at risk of the hair matting.

    • Never put direct heat on keratin bonds as this can cause them to slip out or matte the hair together.

    • Never expose your extensions to chlorine.
